artfridge is a collection of essays, dialogues and interviews between emerging art historians artists and curators. Initially founded in 2011 by Anna-Lena Werner as a simple blog to record impressions from studio visits and to store memories of conversations with artists, artfridge.de has – over the course of time – naturally evolved into a frequently publishing online magazine: today it features interviews as well as reviews and essays written by a team of contributors who enrich the editorial program with introductions to international curatorial and artistic practices. artfridge.de is a platform of research, premised on the idea of providing a free online archive of knowledge on contemporary art and on the concerns and the aesthetic vision of its young key figures.
Everybody involved in the making of artfridge has become a substantial part of it, putting an enormous amount of effort and enthusiasm into this endeavour. We hope that you will enjoy reading artfridge as much as we enjoy making it.
